道冲，而用之有弗盈也。
渊呵！似万物之宗。
锉其兑，解其纷，和其光，同其尘。
湛呵！似或存。
吾不知其谁之子，象帝之先。

Translation & Meaning

大道空虚无形，然而运用起来却永不枯竭、不会满溢。 多么深邃渊远啊，它好似天下万物的共同宗主。 磨去锋芒毕露的锐气，化解纠缠不清的纷扰，收敛耀眼夺目的光芒，混同于世间朴素的尘土。 多么澄澈幽深啊，它似无而实存。 我不知道它由谁所生，只见它在天帝出现之前便已自在长存。

Commentary

青禾散人评注：“挫其锐，解其纷，和其光，同其尘”乃道家处世至高修养。真正深厚的人无需张扬锋芒，而是内敛光华、融于日常，如深渊般寂静却蕴藏无穷生机。
